See you at the pole was a tremendous success this year for our local schools (Ardmore High and Cedar Hill) and it was a blessing to see so many of our students come out to start their day off with prayer.

But as tremendous as the turnout was in our area, that was not the case for all schools.  I found the below photo and post on the See You at the Pole Facebook page and felt this worthy of sharing.

Let me introduce you to Caden. He’s a 6th grader at Wigwam Creek MS in Litchfield, Ariz. and this morning, he prayed alone.

The Facebook post asked people to comment offering words of encouragement to Caden and others that had the kind of courage and faith.

The bible tells us that we are just temporary residents in this world (1 Peter 2:11) and while we are here we are to act as ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Taking a stand for Jesus is much easier when we have people around us willing to back us up and support us.  But what about when there is no one to stand with us? What about when the crowd and popular opinion is pushing and marching in a direction that is completely away from God? In those moments, where will we stand? Will we be a Caden or will we find ourselves content with doing nothing?

Caden I pray you and all the students that had the courage to take stand for Jesus keep standing for you are not alone.  God is with you and God loves you.  He hears your prayers and he answers them. I also pray that through your faith and testimony an army of young men and women will be formed. An army that will also have the courage to stand, even if it be alone, in the name of Jesus.
